Waterhole dreaming
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas Dimensions: 91 x 76 cms
Condition: Excellent
Artists Comment: "We anchored in a bay surrounded by these huge majestic boulders. I've never seen or been in a landscape like it - an artist's and photographer's paradise! These boulders towered over us and many were so smoothly rounded. Pairs of Cape Barren Geese grazed among them .The water was so blue, deeper than the sky, orange lichen grew on many of them and below to the high water mark was rich with texture.
CHG Directors Statement: I first saw Australian artist Susan Sheridan’s work at the Strawberry Hills Gallery, Surrey Hills in the 1970’s and was captivated by the serenity! Words of description and observations along the lines of – muted tones, atmospheric, impressionistic, sublime, dreamy, understatement and capturing a feeling, all described her art convincingly.
