Artist Statement: As soon as I start to paint, I step into another world. I don't like music or sound - I feel caught up in another set of values. My best work is always spontaneous, intuitive, then it becomes so absorbing, euphoric almost, it carries you along. I've done a few paintings I've felt have come from something beyond myself, and I bow my head in thanks.
