CHG Director's Statement: Regarded as an Australian watercolourist, best known for his floral subjects, landscapes and paintings of horses.

Allan Bernaldo was born in Victoria in 1900. In 1919 he joined the Victorian Artists society and was known as an advertising illustrator; two years later he became a teacher, working in this role until 1946. Bernaldo died in 1988.
