Artist Statement: I love the lustre of metallic paint but while the silver invites me on a road to experience the ethereal, with gold I am taken down a different track, frivolity, joy, it's all fun and chatter with the girls on gold showing off their fabulous dresses, and deeply engaged in their conversations with each other. - John Maitland.
