Fez, Morocco II

Jill Wilson

Artist Statement: My work occurs as a direct response to the environment, specifically to the colour, patterns, texture and sensual linear shapes of the landscape. I use photographs, drawings and memory to make studio work which is more the amalgam of remembered experiences, than the depiction of a single place.

CHG Directors Statement: A full time painter and printmaker since 1992, Jill Wilson has exhibited in a number of galleries including The National Trust Gallery Shop situated in the Old Parliament House, Jinchilla Gallery Dubbo, Awesome Art Gallery at Bathurst and Beaver Galleries in the ACT.
Jill works from a studio on the family property ”Glenthorne” at Narromine. In 2008 Jill moved to Leura in the Blue Mountains where she lives and works from her studio.
