THE MID TO LATE 1980's was a time the artist was producing major topographical landmark compositions of the Newcastle Coastline.
The Children's pool painting is recognised as 'iconic' from this period, encompassing the Australian summertime feel. The innocence of children, families and climate all combine within the painting to express the human factor of leisure and relaxation.
