Artist CV: Arthur Boothroyd (1910- 2001) 

Born in England in 1910, Boothroyd arrived in Australia in 1923. He studied at Swinburne Technical College, the Royal Art Society, Sydney, the East Sydney Technical College and in England. An illustrator and cartoonist, Boothroyd contributed to a number of publications including the Bulletin, Smith's Weekly and in London, Punch and was a multiple Walkley Illustration Award winner for his work in Australian Women's Weekly. He returned to England in 1945 and spent the next 15 years working there, including for the magazine Punch. He has a work in the Imperial War Museum, London.
