This eclectic collection features such established artists as Donald Friend, Tom Gleghorn and Charles Blackman. As these artworks have resided in a private collection, none of the pieces have come to market for a number of years; this collection therefore presents an opportunity to purchase some fine examples of various artists' work.
Each piece presents a unique perspective of the artists' talent.
Friend's 'Boys with a fish' certainly demonstrates his skill in anatomical drawing, whilst the Proof plate of Bambooziana with it's random couplings, wild animals and erupting volcano, accompanied by friend's handwritten description, is simply fascinating.
A further two ink sketches confirm his ability to capture a scene using but a few strong lines.
