This exhibition combines my love of Central Australia, the opal mining towns of Coober Pedy and Lightning Ridge and the Greek - Skopelos Island.

And as always it’s hard to keep the beautiful colours of the Aegean Sea from seeping into the artwork on my return to Australia. The influences of pattern, texture and the sensual linear lines of the landscape are ever present.

Painting mainly in oils, acrylic and mixed media on canvas. The printmaking involves etching on zinc plate to produce intaglio Monoprints and the Collagraphic monoprints are produced on hard pressed cardboard in which the surface is built up and carve into. The surface is then prepared, inked up in printers ink or oil paint, printed and then worked over again in pastel and paint so each work is unique.

Travel within Australia and overseas has pushed me even further creatively. In 1996 I was fortunate enough to live and work at the Cite’-International Des Arts in Paris, July-September and in 2002 was guest Artist-in-Residence for the Northern Territory Craft Council based in Alice Springs, June-August. In 2011, I was invited to join a small group of International and Australian printmakers on on Skopelos.

I returned in 2014 and purchased a house in the old port town . A complete renovation/ rebuild followed and since 2015 I’ve lived and worked on the island three months of each year.
