I'm delighted to announce that we have sold most of the paintings from Tracey Maree Smith's recent exhibition 'Exposed Ground'. Congratulations Tracey on this near sell out!
Tracey's exhibition concluded at CHG late June, then in July she was selected as a finalist for the Wynne Prize, AGNSW Sydney for Australia's best landscape painting. This involved a finalists 'artist's lunch', opening formalities (pictured) and the announcement last Friday, with friends joining her on Saturday for celebrations. What a whirlwind!
'First creek, Redhead Beach’ by Tracey Maree Smith
Last weekend CHG hosted Tracey Maree Smith 'In Conversation' where clients had the chance to meet Tracey and hear about her experience as a 'finalist' and what it meant for her. Tracey's story and manner of delivery was enthralling!
As I mentioned in my last blog post 'Tracey Maree Smith finalist in the 2016 Wynne prize, AGNSW' - last week, being selected as a finalist in either the Archibald, Wynne or Sulman art prizes accelerates awareness of an artist.
If you have an interest in Tracey's work I would invite you to view the digital catalogue for her recent exhibition here. Which works are your favourites?
Please keep in mind we can arrange commissions of Tracey Maree Smith's artwork should you wish to create something truly special just for you.
Yours in art,
Mark Widdup
CHG Director
