Floating No.3

Phil Stallard

Artist's Statement: "Floating No.3 is a memory of North Head, Sydney Harbour - the cliff plunges into the water and looking down from the clifftop creates the sensation of 'floating'. I climbed this cliff face in the 1980's, in those days it was legal! The climb weaved its way up from the waterline, through delicious sandstone up and over a terrifying overhang. Everything was suspended!, the oil paint takes me back there, no need for ropes" - Phil Stallard

Medium: Oil on Board
Dimensions: 120 x 120 cms

CHG Director's Statement: With the paint still dripping Phil Stallard has sent this new artwork 'Floating'. Having seen and exhibited Phil's art for years, this is a preferred artwork in my opinion, containing well balanced colour placement!  - Mark Widdup.
